There are several organizations designed to assist small, minority and women-owned businesses.  They include the following:

National Association of Minority Contractors, South Carolina Chapter (NAMC)
A group of businessmen and contractors met with Columbia’s Mayor Steve Benjamin in order to determine ways the City of Columbia can increase minority participation in obtaining contracts with the City. After a series of meetings among themselves, the group decided to form an organized body to address the concerns of minority contractors as it relates to contracting opportunities across the State of South Carolina.

Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC)
The mission of the HCAC is to provide the necessary resources to ensure the continued progress of its members, while promoting the long term success of Hispanic-owned construction businesses in the Carolinas.  (www.hcacarolinas.org)
